Node / Repeater Status Reports


As of the 1 May 2026, several significant updates and changes are impacting amateur radio node and repeater operations in the Southern Cape, particularly regarding nodes, repeaters and new digital voice incorporation into the ZS1I HUB. Based on recent- and observation reports, the current and upcoming amateur radio repeater and node status reports will be listed below.

Always monitor the ZS1I Hub for specific announcements.  I will list the outage on this page and then make an on the air announcement via the ZS1I Hub and on 145.550 Mhz Simplex in the Mossel Bay area.  Gone are the days of using social media groups.  Real radios, nodes and this Blog will be used to keep radio amateurs informed and NOT social media.  Time we use less social media  ......  rather use the airwaves!
